Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool to deliver patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has a BSN, two years of RN experience, active TX license, CPR, ACLS within six months, and TNCC/ATCN within one year. Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM offered with full-time schedule.

Job Summary

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization’s vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Work Experience

License/Registration/Certification

• Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas required.
• Current CPR training required.
• ACLS required within six months of being in the department.

Education and Training

• Bachelor degree in Nursing required.
• Completion of the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advance Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) required within one year of being in the position required.
