University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) seeks a Registered Nurse to provide patient care through the nursing process, from assessment to evaluation. The RN collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes and adheres to clinical standards and safety protocols.
The role requires a Texas RN license, a BSN, and two years of hospital experience; CPR is required. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to support diverse patient needs.
Job Summary
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization’s vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Demonstrates the ability to manage time effectively, make clinical sound judgement, and contribute skills and knowledge where the greatest need is identified within the facility.
Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse required, preferably in a hospital based acute care setting.
Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas required.
Current CPR training required.
Bachelor degree in Nursing required.
