Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an RN to join our care team across northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program with ADN at hire and BSN preferred, plus applicable clinical experience as defined by the department.

Responsibilities include applying nursing processes, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families. The role supports professional development and participates in performance improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• May require specific years of applicable experience per department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.
• Documents according to standards of care and develops, initiates and executes a patient plan of care as prescribed by Physician or clinic policy.
• Provides education to the patient and family, supports learning, and participates in improvement activities within the department.
