Job summary

Saint Joseph East, part of CommonSpirit Health, is hiring an RN on a Float/Flex team in Lexington, KY. Eligible for up to $25,000 sign-on and up to $24,000 in student loan assistance. Provide comprehensive care, assess, implement plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Requires an RN license in KY and at least 2 years acute care experience; ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within specified timelines. Telemetry/CCU experience preferred for certain units.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Kentucky and nursing program graduation are required.
• Two years RN experience in acute care as baseline; CCU/Telemetry as specified.
• CPR required; ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct care assessments and document observations, treatments and responses.
• Administer medications safely and accurately; monitor patient status.

• Conducts care assessments and interprets assessment data to determine care needs and constraints in meeting these needs.
• Successfully completes system-based and hospital specific competencies.
• Maintains accurate documentation of observations, treatments, teaching, medications, care given, patient response, and integrates into plan of care.
• In collaboration with patients and families (as defined by the patient) the Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing and administering care to the patient. Implements plan of care based upon established standards of care/practice, policies, and procedures, incorporating cultural, religious, psychosocial, physical, and age-related issues.
• Possesses knowledge of medications, and administers safely and accurately.
• Appropriately delegates and supervises routine technical functions to non-licensed and licensed personnel.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing and Minimum two years of experience as an RN in an acute care facility, upon hire and
• For Critical Care areas, two years of Critical Care experience and
• For Telemetry areas, one year of Telemetry and
• Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days and
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months and
• Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months

Preferred

• Bachelors Of Science Nursing and For Telemetry areas, two years of Telemetry, upon hire

Pay Range

$30.00 - $43.50 /hour
