Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England in Hartford, CT is seeking a Float Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, flexible inpatient care across multiple units. The role supports patient needs and maintains continuity of care.

You will use evidence-based practices, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the health care team. Full-time position, 36 hours per week, day or night shifts, every other weekend/holiday, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
• 1+ year inpatient hospital RN experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required for certain departments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care based on nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practices.
• Adapt to different units and medical-surgical procedures as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Educate patients and caregivers about care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention.
• Manage emergent patient needs, admissions, and hospital rounds.
