Qualified candidates hold NM or compact RN licensure, BLS and life support certifications, and have a minimum of two years nursing experience, thriving in a values-driven, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the New Mexico State Board of Nursing or compact license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Must meet the requirements for obtaining and maintaining life support certifications as outlined in the Life Support Certification Policy
• Minimum of two years nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Float to all units within SJRMC as assigned (Emergency Department, Behavioral Health Unit, Medical Unit, Surgical Unit, Nephrology Unit, Cardiology Unit, Observation Unit, ICU4, ICU3, Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, Childbirth Center, Pediatric Unit and Outpatient Nursing Clinic)
• Provides individualized patient care and maintains clinical competency appropriate for the area of practice on all listed units
• Provide coverage for the MRN role as needed
• Prioritizes patient care based on acuity and ensures continuity of safe/effective care of patients
• Understands and follows policy and procedure in addition to meeting licensure requirements
• Responsive to current safety and quality initiatives and sustains improvement
• Charge RN for multiple units
• Demonstrates teamwork and delegates appropriately to other team members
• Acts as a role model and supports the nursing department's standards and core values
