Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Educates patient and family appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
• Leads staffing assignments and supervises daily staffing levels; provides direction and training to staff.
• Performs or assists with evaluations and disciplinary actions; ensures policy compliance.
• Ensures quality of services and staff development; handles complex issues and complaints.
