Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an experienced Float Pool RN to provide safe, high-quality care across multiple units in the Charlotte, NC area. You’ll support staffing needs, adapt quickly to new teams, and help maintain continuity of care in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. We value mentorship, adherence to standards, and flexible coverage.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in Med/Surg, Tele, CCU, ED or Women’s health.
• Current compact licensure for North Carolina.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe nursing care across multiple units and patient populations.
• Step into assigned units and integrate with new care teams.
• Serve as interim clinical support during staffing gaps.
• Perform assessments, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Model best practices and policies, supporting system-wide adoption of tools.
• Act as a mentor to unit staff and uphold professional nursing standards.
• Support Novant Health’s mission by delivering high-quality care across locations.
