Qualifications

• Must have 2yrs of RN Inpatient experience.
• Licensure as an RN (IDFPR) is required; ACLS within 1 year; BLS within 30 days.
• Education includes an Associate’s Degree and HS diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for the healthcare team.
• Completes initial assessment on patient admission and develops a plan of care.
• Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
• Modifies plan of care to ensure patient and employee safety and report hazards.
• Communicates with others to resolve issues as needed.
• Precepts staff from various units as needed.
• Coordinates care with multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
