Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Career Float Registered Nurse to join our flexible float pool, gaining exposure across multiple specialty units while delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• California State RN License required.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications required for float to various units with expiration >= 60 days from hire.
• Minimum 3 years recent acute RN experience in specialty; 2 years for RN II.
• Experience in two or more Career Float Pool specialty clusters.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients and ensure voice is heard in clinical decisions.
• Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care across multiple specialty settings.
• Maintain broad clinical perspective and evolving role of nursing in today’s healthcare.
• Demonstrate courage and professionalism advocating for patients, colleagues, and quality care in challenging situations.
• Value diverse perspectives and foster an inclusive environment built on respect and collaboration.
• Promote continuity and quality of care with needs of patients, families, and support systems.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams as a clinical resource and consultant.
• Drive improvement by identifying opportunities for positive change at unit/departmental/organizational levels.
• Apply strong clinical judgment to deliver high-quality care and optimize resources.
• Continue expanding clinical knowledge and professional skills through ongoing learning.
