Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse in Austin to deliver compassionate care and support patient outcomes across units.

You will perform assessments, plan and evaluate care, administer medications, and educate patients and families while collaborating with the care team to ensure safe, effective discharges.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse) licensure.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and revise the plan of care as patient conditions change.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments per hospital policy.
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff per practice standards.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
• Educate patients and families on care and treatments.
• Facilitate discharge planning with the care team.
