Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking a Float Pool RN to support Med/Surg, Neuro/Ortho/Peds, Rehab and Cardiac units in a 6x12-hour day schedule. This is a full-time role at 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period) with rotating weekends and holidays and includes a $7,500 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants.

The Staffing Pool RN will monitor patient conditions, administer meds, document care, and collaborate across disciplines while floating to different units as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate degree in nursing; bachelor’s preferred.
• 1–2 years bedside RN experience; 2–4 years critical care preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred; BLS-HCP required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform plan-of-care interventions.
• Document care in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate with the care team.
• Assist with activities of daily living and float to other units as needed.
• Collaborate across disciplines for transfers, discharges, referrals.
• Provide patient/family education and advocate for well-being.
