Job summary

MUSC Health seeks a flexible Float Pool Registered Nurse to work across Emergency Room, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Neurology Progressive Care at MUSC Lancaster Medical Center and MUSC Chester Medical Center. Schedule is 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts.

Under general supervision you will provide safe, patient- and family-centered care using the nursing process and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current South Carolina or compact-state RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental needs of patients and families.
• Perform assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, plan and implement interventions, coordinate care and educate patients and families.
• Deliver age-appropriate care aligned with nursing standards and MUSC policies; maintain safety and privacy.
• Lead assigned team members and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to improve patient outcomes.
