The staff nurse uses the nursing process to 1) identify needs, 2) plan and implement appropriate interventions and 3) document and evaluate patient care outcomes. As a member of the PICC team, this is a professional level position requiring the ability to work independently within the parameters of applicable policies, procedures and practice standards. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to meet service expectations and effectively communicate with other members of the PICC team, Diagnostic Imaging (DI) staff and leadership, hospital nursing staff, nursing administration, physician staff, patients and family members. Internal contacts include patient care staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, and outside facilities.***EDUCATION*** Associate degree in nursing required. BSN preferred.***EXPERIENCE**** Two years hospital nursing experience.
