Job summary

TriCities Hospital in the United States is seeking a Float pool Registered Nurse to provide bedside care across multiple units including ICU, ER, Medical/Surgical, Telemetry and Outpatient Surgery. You will document nursing care in Meditech and participate in unit orientation for new staff.

The role emphasizes delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with physicians, patients and families, and maintaining high standards of clinical excellence in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license for Virginia or compact multistate licensure.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• At least two years of nursing experience in an acute care facility.
• ACLS obtained within 60 days of start date.
• BLS obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months of start date.
• PALS within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Float through the facility to nursing units within scope of practice (ICU, ER, Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Step-Down, Behavioral Health, Outpatient Surgery).
• Manage clinical care while ensuring patient, family and staff satisfaction.
• Document nursing care in Meditech.
• Participate in orientation of new personnel and support developmental needs of units and department.

Education

RN Virginia license

Compact multistate license

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

2+ years nursing experience in acute care

ACLS within 60 days

BLS within 30 days

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months

PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months
