Idaho Falls Community Hospital in Idaho Falls is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team and provide direct and indirect patient care across departments.

You will perform head-to-toe assessments, manage pain, administer medications, and assist physicians. Current Idaho RN license and BLS required; ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement options.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.

  • Preference given to Critical Care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per hospital policy.
  • Assess and manage patient pain and educate family on pain management.
  • Administer medications accurately and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Assist physicians with procedures requiring technical skills.
  • Perform glucometer testing and document results.

Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for a a Registered Nurse to join our team!JOB SUMMARY: Helps to facilitate functions of the department assigned/floated to by performing duties and responsibilities as described. Provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, Meets the communication needs of patient and family and provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, in a variety of hospital settings. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with providers and team members about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomology. Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations, as well as willingness to adapt to varying assignments.2. Demonstrates ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per hospital policy. This includes pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population.3. Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.4. Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient’s age and condition.5. Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and patient’s clinical condition.6. Follows all medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors.7. Demonstrates ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.8. Demonstrates an ability to assist physician with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.9. Ability to perform glucometer testing (point-of-care testing) per Clinical Laboratory’s and the patient care unit’s policies and procedures10. Formulates a teaching plan bases on identified patient learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, and ensures the family is included in teaching as appropriate.BENEFITS:Taking care for our community starts with taking care of our own team.
