Job Title: Patient Service Representative for Novant Health's Physician Practices Float Pool

General Summary: A position responsible for front office processes in several specialty Physician Practice Clinic. This role requires strong customer service skills with preferred experience in a medical office setting.

• Greet patients entering the physician practice.
• Answer office phones, schedule appointments, confirm appointments, and reschedule as necessary.
• Check in patients, collect accurate patient demographics, enter data into the electronic system, and verify insurance information.
• Assist in checking out patients, including processing referrals and scheduling follow-up appointments.
• Collect co-pays and post charges.
• Handle charge entry and patient balance processing.
• Distribute information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, and general information about the practice.
• Explain and enroll patients in the patient portal.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Education: High school diploma/GED required; completion of a medical office assistant program preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical office preferred.
