Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Float Pool OR Nurse to support multiple ambulatory surgery centers. You will apply the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate intra-operative care for surgical patients, rotating between facilities and serving as the circulating nurse.

Responsibilities include overseeing instrument setup, coordinating cases, and ensuring seamless handoffs to PACU. Required RN license, BCLS/ACLS, and PALS within 90 days; CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an operating room setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
• Valid BCLS & ACLS Certifications required upon employment (online certification not acceptable)
• PALS (Within 90 days, or earlier per Dept arrangement)
• CNOR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilities
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and oversee instrument and equipment set-up, prepare for the case utilizing preference cards, and anticipate needs of surgeon
• Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator
• Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures
• Utilize preference cards and update as necessary
• Relay appropriate hand off communication to PACU staff to ensure continuity of care

Education

Nursing Diploma

BCLS & ACLS Certifications
