Job summary

Saint Luke’s North on Barry Road is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team. This entry level role offers on-the-job training for applicants without certifications and supports an experienced CNA seeking a collaborative workplace to call home.

As a Nursing Assistant you will provide patient care under an RN, assist with activities of daily living, anticipate family needs, and float between Barry Road and Smithville Campus to support staffing and patient care.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience in healthcare or related field.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/RSI) or similar training preferred.
• On-the-job training available for applicants seeking to enter healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and routine care.
• Anticipate the patient’s family needs in a proactive fashion.
• Individualize and modify care according to patient needs.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care.

Saint Luke’s North on Barry Road is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team. This is a great entry level position with on the job training available for an applicant that has been interested in joining the healthcare field but is not specifically certified. This opportunity is also a great position for an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) that is looking for a supportive workplace to call home. You will have the opportunitytohelp improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience by floating between departments as needed based on staffing and patient care needs. Shift Details

Full Time Day 6:45am-7:15pm, 3 shifts per week ; Floats between 2 locations: Barry Road and Smithville Campus

The Work

• Providespatient care under the direction and supervision of an RN.
• Providesassistance with activities of daily living and care, such as bathing, personal hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation and positioning.
• Anticipatesthe patient’s family needs in a proactive fashion.
• Individualizesand modifiescare according to the patient’s needs.
• Collaborateswith other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.
