Job summary

Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant for its Float Pool. This .8 FTE position covers 64 hours every two weeks, with 8-hour evening shifts from 3pm to 11:30pm and an every-other-weekend rotation.

The role focuses on assisting licensed staff in delivering patient care and maintaining patient rooms. You will help with personal care, transport patients and equipment, and stock supplies while following nurse directions.

Qualifications

• Provide basic patient care under supervision of a nurse.
• Assist with daily activities and essential tasks.
• Maintain patient rooms and stocking of supplies.
• Document care in appropriate forms.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, bathing, feeding and grooming.
• Monitor and record patient condition, vitals and outputs.
• Transport patients and equipment as needed.
• Support admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Ensure clean, stocked and prepared patient rooms.
