Qualifikationen

• U.S. citizenship or grandfathering as applicable
• English proficiency in speaking and writing per VA standards
• Six months of general experience or education above high school with related courses
• Experience showing ability to perform NA duties
• Ability to use basic diagnostic and care equipment
• Ability to communicate with patients, families, and team members
• Supervision applies at lower grades; GS-5 requires more advanced KSAs

Aufgaben

• Provide nursing care under supervision in outpatient, inpatient, home, or community settings
• Use glucose monitors to collect and document readings
• Maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families
• Observe and report patient/resident status changes to RN or supervisor
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic treatments
• Respond to emergencies and participate in preceptors for new NAs
