Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, KS is recruiting Nursing Assistants for its Patient Support (Float Pool). Positions include full-time and part-time roles with progression from GS-3 to GS-5 based on experience and KSAs.

Veterans are encouraged to apply; qualification standards require basic education and/or experience as defined by VA. Applicants may be considered as references and required to complete licensure or certification as applicable.

Qualificações

• Six months of general experience or education related to the NA role.
• One year of education above high school with courses related to nursing care.
• Completion of an intensive, occupation-related training course for Nursing Assistant.

Responsabilidades

• Provide patient/resident care under close supervision in multiple areas.
• Observe and report changes in patient status to supervisor.
• Use medical equipment (e.g., bladder scan, glucose monitoring) as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and health professionals.
