Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

• A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
• One (1) year of clinical nursing experience in the specialty area in which assigned to float
• Holds or obtains a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Special Note

Advanced certifications may be required for certain specialty areas. The approved healthcare specialties within Acute Care for Float Pool Nurses are:

• Emergency Department (Adults)
• Emergency Department (Pediatrics)
• Inpatient (Adults)
• Critical Care/Telemetry (Adults)
• Medical-Surgical (Adults)
