Job summary

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, part of Wesley Healthcare, seeks a Float Pool Manager to lead nursing teams and coordinate patient care across units. You will oversee staffing, clinical operations and ensure quality care.

The role requires RN licensure in Kansas, a BSN, and at least three years of supervisory experience. You will partner with physicians and staff to maintain safe, efficient care and support hospital goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Three years supervisory experience.
  • Current RN licensure in Kansas or multi-state licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care provided for patients in individual units.
  • Oversee fiscal, human resources, risk management and operational functions.
  • Maintain 24 hour accountability and align with Wesley Medical Center values.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and program development.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Nursing Manager provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care provided for patients in individual units. Responsibilities include fiscal, human resource, risk management and operational functions. The Manager contributes to strategic planning and program development and maintains 24 hour accountability. The Manager performs delegated duties and functions within the philosophy and overall scope of responsibility. The Manager displays positive support for the values and mission of Wesley Medical Center.

Position Requirements
Required Registration , Licensure or Certification
  • Current Licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Current Multi‑State Licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through American Heart Assoc. or American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR
Preferred Registration, Licensure Or Certification
  • Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam within allotted time frame, as specified in policy
Required Education Or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Three years supervisory experience
Preferred Education Or Experience

Required Knowledge And Skills
  • Ability to utilize the nursing process in the provision of nursing care including, but not limited to, administering treatments and medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating a plan of care, collaborating with other healthcare providers and providing education to patients and/or significant others

  • Ability to multi‑task, delegate and prioritize
  • Possess problem solving and critical thinking skills
