Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for the Float Pool. The role provides flexible staffing support across multiple departments to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

You will perform basic care, monitor vital signs, assist with ADLs, and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team. BLS and Kentucky CNA certification are required; Handle With Care preferred. Join a supportive environment with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA certification in Kentucky required.
• BLS certification required.
• Handle With Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Records vital signs, glucose, intake/output, weights as directed.
• Assists with ADLs: bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting, and ambulation.
• Assists with mobility, transfers, positioning, and transport.
• Observes and reports changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Maintains patient rooms, nursing stations, and common areas clean and safe.
• Stocks supplies and equipment as needed to support unit operations.
• Provides care across multiple units based on staffing needs.
• Participates in quality improvement and continuing education opportunities.
• Promotes patient safety and infection prevention compliance.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient care activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
