Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Woodbury, MN seeks a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Woodwinds Hospital float pool. The 0.6 FTE position supports a variety of patient populations with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and requires every-other-weekend work.

Responsibilities include assisting nurses with care, transporting patients, prepping rooms, stocking supplies, and documenting vital signs under supervision. Six months direct care experience or approved CNA training is expected.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; OnTrack Nursing Assistant training or equivalent is expected.
• Six months of direct care experience in long-term, home care, or acute settings.
• Enrollment in an LPN/RN/Nurse Practitioner program with at least one clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nurse with patient care and equipment transport.
• Set up and stock patient rooms; support admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Record vital signs and basic measurements; monitor patient condition and alert RN as needed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and provide personal care.
• Respond to call lights promptly and work under supervision of nursing staff.
