Job summary

Prisma Health in Greenville, SC seeks Medical Assistants to support Ambulatory Internal Resource Pool across multiple sites. This PRN role offers flexible scheduling with a float pay differential and potential up to 40 hours per week, including shifts Mon–Fri.

Candidates must be willing to travel up to 30 miles for assignments and work at diverse physician practices. Responsibilities include clinical and administrative duties, patient preparation, data entry, and assisting physicians.

Qualifications

• Medical assistant training program completion from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Certification as CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical, technical, administrative and clerical duties under physician supervision.
• Prepare patients for examination and record vitals, chief complaints and allergies.
• Assist physician with examinations, procedures, and in-office care.
• Document data in the medical record and maintain confidentiality.
• Handle telephone communications and medication orders per state law.
• Complete registration, scheduling and billing tasks and coordinate tests.
