Job summary

Intermountain Health Flight and Ambulance Services is seeking a Float Air Ambulance Pilot to deliver life-saving patient transport with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. The role combines aviation skills with compassionate care in fast-paced medical missions.

Base operations are centered in Las Vegas, with travel to Salt Lake City and Denver regions. Candidates should meet stringent FAA certifications and experience requirements and be prepared for cross-base coordination.

Qualifications

• Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating and appropriate ratings.
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate or higher.
• 2,000 hours total flight time; 100 hours cross-country; 75 instrument hours; 100 night hours.
• Pass a 135.293 check ride within the first 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate aircraft safely under FAA regulations and company policies.
• Demonstrate independent critical thinking in preflight planning and operations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aviation regulations and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and medical crew during transports.
• Assist with safety, loading/unloading, and flight-related duties as needed.
