Job summary

Labcorp in Newark, NJ is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our patient-centered team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections across diverse settings, ensuring accurate data entry and quality specimen handling.

The role offers weekday scheduling with occasional overtime, travel to additional sites, and benefits; prior phlebotomy experience and a valid license are required or certification; PST incentive and mileage reimbursement may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred 2 years or more phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
