Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Seattle and surrounding areas. This Casual/Per Diem role has hours that are 'as needed' with start and end times varying.

You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for tests, and enter data accurately. Qualified candidates must hold a Washington State Phlebotomy license (MA-P) or be in process, have reliable transportation, and be at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• WA state phlebotomy license (MA-P) is required.
• Flexibility to work in multiple sites (Patient Service Center, Client Office, or Hospital).
• Demonstrated commitment to accurate data entry and patient service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for various tests and ensure accurate data entry of patient information.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs of patient and specimen information.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support across sites.
• Travel to additional sites as needed with reliable transportation.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team working at locations in Seattle and surrounding areas. Work Schedule: This is a Casual/Per Diem position; hours will be "as needed" and the start and end times will vary.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed, Reliable transportation required

Minimum Qualifications

• Washington State issued Phlebotomy license (MA-P)

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the WA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
• Valid Driver\'s License and good driving record
• Be at least 21 years old
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client Office or Hospital. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM * Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Pay Range: $21.87 to $32.28 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Float Incentive: Additional $2.00/hourly plus mileage reimbursement

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
