Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies in Columbia, MD, seeks an experienced Phlebotomist II for a 3-month contract. This float role covers Columbia, Ellicott City, and Elkridge, with a schedule 6:30am–6:00pm, Monday–Friday, and requires reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.

You will perform venipuncture, process specimens, and maintain patient care while floating to multiple sites. Minimum two years phlebotomy experience, high school diploma, and applicable certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months of recent phlebotomy experience in a hospital or high-volume laboratory setting.
• Overall 2-4 years of healthcare/phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Proficiency in venipuncture using straight and butterfly needles.
• Experience processing and handling laboratory specimens.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Valid Phlebotomy Certification if required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performing venipuncture and specimen collection
• Processing and preparing specimens for testing
• Managing and coordinating specimen drop-offs for the client
• Providing excellent patient service while maintaining quality and compliance standards
• Training and orientation period of two weeks.
