Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team at 400 Patroon Creek in Albany, NY. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:30am–5:30pm with rotating Saturdays. You will perform venipuncture, collect various specimens, enter data, and handle billing when needed.

The role requires a phlebotomy credential or training, high school diploma, and strong customer service. Travel to other Labcorp sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
