Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role covering Castleton, Delmar, Catskill, Schenectady, Cobleskill, Latham, Amsterdam, Valatie, Albany, Guilderland. Schedule: Monday–Friday, with start times as early as 6:30am and shifts up to 5:30pm.

Projected duration: 3 months, with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling and processing, maintaining chain-of-custody, and ensuring specimen integrity.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture with accuracy and care.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens per procedures.
• Record maintenance data and update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture steps clearly and politely to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity.
