Top Echelon Software, LLC seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role covering Castleton, Delmar, Albany and surrounding areas in NY. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with early start times around 6:30am and shifts ending by 5:30pm, for a 3-month duration with potential for permanent placement.

Requires 2+ years of phlebotomy experience and a valid state phlebotomy certification where employed. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilités

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles and match orders to requisitions.
Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocol.
Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
Answer calls and read lab results as needed.
