Henderson Group Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist for Imperial, CA and surrounding areas on a floating assignment. This 3-month contract offers $23.00–$25.00 per hour, with the potential to convert to permanent status based on performance and business needs.

The ideal candidate will have a state phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, and proficiency with MS Office. A HS diploma or GED is required, with pediatric and geriatric experience preferred.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture and other specimen collection as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles; understand physician orders.
• Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct; package specimens for transport.
• Store specimen samples according to required temperature and transport to maintain integrity.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
