Accounting Search is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role covering multiple Albany-area sites, including Castleton, Delmar, Catskill, and Schenectady. Schedule is Monday–Friday with early start times as needed. The position lasts 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Benefits are available.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months of venipuncture experience, proper phlebotomy certification, and proficiency with MS Office. Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Formación

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed, as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients as required.
• Demonstrates technique using both straight and butterfly needles; follows physician orders.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
