Job summary

Labcorp in Greenville, TX is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves performing blood collections, collecting specimens for various tests, data entry, and occasional travel to additional sites within a 100+ mile radius.

• Current or prior LabCorp experience preferred
• Phlebotomy certification/training from an accredited program acceptable in lieu of work experience

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to patients
• Travel to additional sites as needed; reliable transportation required

LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the Greenville, TX area (75401)

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 6:30am to 6:30pm (overtime and rotating weekends will be required as needed)

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Process billing information and collect payments when required

• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

• Maintain patient and specimen information logs

• Provide superior customer service to all patients

• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

• Travel to additional sites when needed, Reliable transportation required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 or more years’ phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment

• 1 or more years’ experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)

• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

• Will cover sites in Greenville, TX and surrounding areas (approximate 100 + mile radius)

• Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

• Be 21 years of age or older

• Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

• Exceptional customer service

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Float Incentive:

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
