Job summary

Labcorp in Prosper, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm with Saturday 8:00am–12:00pm rotating; flexibility for overtime and travel to additional sites as needed.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture and capillary collections for all ages, data entry, processing billing, and maintaining logs. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma; preferred are 2+ years' phlebotomy and LabCorp experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience preferred in a clinical or hospital setting.
• 1+ years' experience assisting all patient groups (pediatric to geriatric).
• Current or prior LabCorp experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency acceptable in lieu of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis; maintain logs and sample tracking.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients; assist with travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Prosper, TX (75078)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm; Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm (rotating; requested as needed)

Job Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
