Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to support patient care across the Dallas / Ft Worth metroplex. The role requires venipuncture skills, travel to client sites, and delivering high-quality patient service. LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the Dallas / Ft Worth, TX area. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00am to 7:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed).

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to client and PSC locations.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment.
• 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric).
• Current or prior LabCorp experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Will primarily cover sites in the Dallas / Ft Worth metroplex surrounding areas. (approximately 75+ miles)
• Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation needed.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Float Incentive

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement *QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM * Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
