Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Desoto, TX team. You will perform blood collections, process specimens, and ensure accurate data entry while delivering friendly patient service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and preference for those with 1+ years phlebotomy experience, LabCorp experience, and the ability to travel to client sites as needed. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current or prior LabCorp experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for various tests and ensure proper labeling and handling.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and maintain logs and records.
• Provide superior customer service to patients and staff; travel to additional sites as needed.

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Desoto, TX (75115). Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be requested as needed).

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

This role will work in our clients' office setting to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM

• Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
