Strong customer service and reliable transportation are required. Responsibilities include data entry, processing billing information when needed, and maintaining logs.

LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the El Paso, TX area. Work Schedule: Full time position. Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00am to 6:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed).

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to client, hospital and PSC locations

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards:

• Will primarily cover sites in El Paso, TX / Las Cruces, NM and surrounding areas. (approximately 50+ miles )
• Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation needed
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Float Incentive:

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

*QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM * Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
