Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets is seeking a Float Pharmacy Technician to support multiple locations in the Spokane area. You will assist pharmacists, verify patient information, and process prescriptions while traveling between stores as needed.

The role requires an active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License. Idaho license is a plus. You must be 18+ and able to pass a background check. Excellent customer service and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• Idaho Pharmacy Technician License is a plus, but not required.
• Candidates must be 18 years or older and pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions as the float technician.
• Verify patient information and receive prescriptions for processing.
• Process prescriptions electronically, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims and verify dosages.
• Sort, stock, label medication, and monitor pharmacy inventory.
• Sterilize surfaces and prepare the pharmacy for opening.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; perform admin tasks as needed.

The Opportunity:

Step into a world where health meets care as a Float Pharmacy Technician at Rosauers Supermarkets. In this role, you'll support pharmacy operations across multiple store locations, stepping in wherever the business needs you most. Under the guidance of our seasoned pharmacists, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless pharmacy operations, all while delivering unmatched service to our customers, no matter which store you're supporting on a given day.

What You'll Do:

• Greet customers and answer any questions they may have.
• Verify the accuracy of patient information.
• Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
• Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims.)
• Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
• Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory.
• Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned.
• Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening.
• Comply with all security measures and quality standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Schedule & Travel:

• Hours vary based on the underlying needs of the business.
• This is a float position supporting multiple pharmacy locations. Occasional travel throughout the greater Spokane is required.
