Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets is seeking a Float Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations across multiple Spokane locations. You will work under seasoned pharmacists to ensure smooth workflows and deliver excellent customer service across stores.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• Idaho Pharmacy Technician License is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions.
• Verify patient information accuracy.
• Receive prescriptions and check validity.
• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure completeness.
• Resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims.
• Select medicines and measure dosages for filling prescriptions.
• Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory.
• Undertake administrative tasks and record-keeping.
• Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening.
• Comply with security measures and quality standards.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and compliance.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

The Opportunity

Step into a world where health meets care as a Float Pharmacy Technician at Rosauers Supermarkets. In this role, you'll support pharmacy operations across multiple store locations, stepping in wherever the business needs you most. Under the guidance of our seasoned pharmacists, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless pharmacy operations, all while delivering unmatched service to our customers, no matter which store you're supporting on a given day.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers and answer any questions they may have.
• Verify the accuracy of patient information.
• Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
• Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims.)
• Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
• Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory.
• Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned.
• Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening.
• Comply with all security measures and quality standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Schedule & Travel

• Hours vary based on the underlying needs of the business.
• This is a float position supporting multiple pharmacy location. Occasional travel throughout the greater Spokane is required.
