Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets in Missoula, MT is seeking a Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. You will welcome customers, provide exceptional service, maintain medication inventory, stock shelves, prepare medications, process insurance claims, and collaborate with physicians to clarify prescriptions.

A valid pharmacist license is required and previous pharmacy experience is preferred. This role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to advance within a community-focused retailer.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree and active pharmacist license.
• Final year student or recent graduate considered.
• Must be 18+ and pass pre-employment background check.
• Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmacology and license to practice.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers when approaching or leaving the pharmacy.
• Provide customer service by answering calls, emails and resolving issues.
• Maintain inventory of medications and supplies in the pharmacy department.
• Stock shelves, organize inventory, and label medications.
• Prepare medications for patients by counting tablets, measuring ingredients, and mixing solutions.
• Learn about new drugs and those changed or discontinued.
• Process insurance claims and handle clerical duties.
• Observe interactions to ensure proper medication instructions are followed.
• Clean and sterilize dispensing equipment such as inhalers or syringes.
• Communicate with physicians to clarify prescriptions or approvals.

If you are hired, here's what you’ll do...

• Welcome and greet customers when approaching or leaving the pharmacy.
• Provide customer service by answering phone calls, responding to emails and resolving customer issues.
• Maintain inventory of medications and supplies in the pharmacy department.
• Perform operational tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and labeling medications.
• Prepare medications for patients by counting tablets, measuring ingredients, and/or mixing solutions.
• Learn about new drugs that are being developed or old drugs that have been discontinued or changed.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing patient records and processing insurance claims.
• Observe interactions between patients and pharmacists to ensure that medication instructions are followed correctly.
• Clean and sterilize equipment used in dispensing drugs such as inhalers or syringes.
• Communicate with physicians to clarify prescription orders or to obtain approval for new medications.
• Perform other tasks as directed by a pharmacist.

Requirements

• Candidates must be 18+ years or older
• Complete a pre-employment background check
• A final year student or recent graduate.
• Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmacology
• Valid license to practice as a pharmacist
