Job summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics (HALO Dx) seeks a Float Patient Navigator – Phlebotomy to support partner locations across Northern Denver. You will perform venipuncture, guide patients through hereditary cancer testing, and coordinate across clinics to ensure a smooth patient journey.

Join a team that values hands-on clinical support, empathy, and adaptability in a fast-growing diagnostic setting. This in-person role requires travel between Northern Denver-area locations and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

  • Nationally certified phlebotomist required.
  • 2+ years clinical experience in healthcare setting.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Experience with insurance verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing.
  • Perform venipuncture and collect specimens.
  • Explain procedures and educate patients.
  • Coordinate scheduling and follow-ups across multiple locations.

The Role at a GlancePosition: Float Patient Navigator – PhlebotomyLocation: Northern Denver, CO regionSchedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PMEmployment Type: Full-Time | In-PersonTravel: Local travel between partner locations as needed What You'll Do ️ Support Patients From Start to FinishYou'll be a key point of contact for patients completing hereditary cancer genetic testing.You'll:Guide patients through the genetic testing processExplain testing, procedures, and next steps in a clear and compassionate wayAnswer patient questions and provide educationConduct structured patient consultationsHelp patients feel comfortable, informed, and supportedFollow up with patients throughout the testing process Be a Trusted Float Across Northern DenverAs a Float Patient Navigator, you'll support different partner locations based on staffing and patient needs.You'll:Travel between partner clinics throughout the Northern Denver regionBuild relationships with providers, clinic staff, and clinical teamsLearn and adapt to different clinic workflowsStep in where support is neededAdjust to changing schedules and prioritiesHelp keep patient care and clinic operations running smoothlyThink of yourself as the teammate every location can count on. Put Your Phlebotomy Skills to WorkYou'll provide hands-on clinical support, including:Performing venipunctureCollecting blood specimens for genetic testingProperly identifying, labeling, handling, and transporting specimensFollowing clinical and safety protocolsMaintaining accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems Own the Patient JourneyYou'll help make sure patients don't get lost in the process.You'll:Coordinate scheduling and follow-upsManage patient cases from start to finishIdentify and resolve barriers to testingHelp troubleshoot scheduling, insurance, and workflow issuesMaintain timely communication with patients and partner teams Build Your ExpertiseYou'll develop knowledge and experience in:Hereditary cancer genetic testingGenetic testing workflowsPatient eligibilityInsurance verification and prior authorizationsDiagnostic specimen collectionClinical documentationHIPAA and compliance requirements What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsNationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills2+ years of clinical experience in a front-office or back-office healthcare setting2+ years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizationsCurrent BLS certificationExperience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collectionStrong communication and patient-service skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesValid driver's licenseReliable transportation for travel between Northern Denver-area locationsComfortable working across multiple clinic locations and adapting to different environments Preferred QualificationsCMA or RMA certification2+ years of experience in an outpatient clinic or patient service centerExperience in genetics, oncology, women's health, or specialty diagnosticsExperience with EMR/EHR systemsStrong documentation skillsHigh-touch, patient-facing healthcare experienceBilingual English/SpanishInterest in building a career in healthcare, diagnostics, or clinical operationsHealthcare students and candidates pursuing clinical careers are encouraged to apply.
