Job summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics seeks a Float Patient Navigator – Phlebotomy to support partner locations across the Southern Denver region. You will guide patients through hereditary cancer testing, perform venipuncture, label and transport specimens, and coordinate scheduling across sites.

This in-person role is Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with local travel and the chance to build clinical, genetic testing, and EMR documentation experience within a growing diagnostics company.

Qualifications

  • Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in a front- or back-office healthcare setting.
  • 2+ years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Experience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collection.
  • Strong communication and patient-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel.
  • Comfortable working across multiple clinic locations.

Responsibilities

  • Guide patients through the genetic testing process with empathy and clarity.
  • Explain testing procedures and next steps, answer questions, and provide education.
  • Conduct structured patient consultations and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Travel between partner clinics to support staffing and workflows.
  • Coordinate scheduling and follow-ups, manage cases end-to-end.
  • Assist with insurance verification and prior authorizations as needed.
  • Ensure proper specimen collection, labeling, handling, and transport.
