Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician for 16 hours per week, day shift 0700-1530 on Monday and Wednesday. The role supports patient comfort, mobility, nutrition, hydration and safety under supervision of licensed staff, floating across care areas as needed.

The PCT will document patient status in the EMR, assist with ADLs, and help maintain a compassionate, family-centered environment while ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Maintains current BLS certification.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to complete basic EMR computer training.

Responsibilities

• Assists with daily patient care under RN supervision.
• Records patient data into the EMR accurately.
• Performs tasks as directed by RN following competency validation.
• Assists with activities of daily living and mobility.
