Job summary

Loma Linda University Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant - FIT to join the hospital-wide float pool serving multiple units in Murrieta. This role requires flexibility to cover various departments, with supervision from an RN to provide safe, age-appropriate patient care.

CNAs or MA graduates with basic patient care skills and BLS certification are preferred. English proficiency is required, Spanish is a plus, and the position may involve night shifts in a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or successful completion of a Medical Assisting (MA) program, or completion of School of Nursing Fundamentals required.
• Minimum six months nursing assistant or MA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to perform direct and indirect patient care.
• Functions across units/departments in the float-pool to cover staffing needs.
• Maintains safety and professionalism; supports a healing environment.
• Handles multiple patient assignments and prioritizes workload.
