Job Details

Location: OE Heath Brook 48 1000 - Ocala, FL 34474. Ocala Eye is a comprehensive, multi‑specialty ophthalmic practice with locations in both Ocala and The Villages. We are currently seeking ophthalmic assistants to help provide and assist with patient care. The duties of this position include ensuring accomplishment of all ophthalmic tech functions, objectives and goals relating to the position. Many ophthalmic assistants are trained and learn on the job; however, past experience and certification are a plus. Ocala Eye offers an excellent benefit package and encourages growth within our practice.

Responsibilities
  • Taking thorough patient medical histories.
  • Performing various vision and diagnostic tests.
  • Instruct patients about medications, tests, and procedures.
  • Terminology and uses of ophthalmic medications.
Job Requirements
  • High School education or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Ophthalmic scribe/technician and/or medical experience preferred.
  • COA Accreditation is a plus.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records a plus.
  • High school or equivalent.
