Are you ready to join Dignity Health - Yavapai Regional Medical Center (DH-YRMC), now part of CommonSpirit Health? We seek a Float Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality care across multiple units, with critical thinking and patient-first focus.

This role involves collaboration within an interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes and career growth. You will float across 3 levels of care in 1-2 facilities, with a 20% differential to base hourly rate, and

Qualifications

  • Two years of general RN care experience required.
  • Associate degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent required.
  • Valid compact state or Arizona RN license required.
  • ACLS and BLS required for healthcare providers.
  • PALS required if floats to Emergency Department or care for <8 years.
  • EKG competency via test or course within six months.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing patient assessment across physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive domains.
  • Formulate and implement goal-directed care plans based on nursing diagnoses and outcomes.
  • Deliver thorough, skillful nursing care and interventions.
  • Set priorities for patient care using unit resources and needs.
  • Evaluate care effectiveness by health care team feedback and patient progress.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Float Registered Nurse (RN) on our Float Team, you’ll deliver compassionate, high-quality care that supports our patients’ well-being and recovery, with a positive attitude and reliability. Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You will be expected to collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes. To be successful in this role, you must possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others.   • Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive status; also nutrition, pain, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy.
  • Formulates a goal-directed plan of care that is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.
  • Implements care in a thorough, skillful, and consistent manner.
  • Establishes priorities for patient care based on essential patient needs and available unit resources of time, personnel, equipment, and supplies.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of care given by health care team members.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, staff, and providers.

This position floats to 3 levels of care in 1-2 facilities, is paid a 20% differential (of the base hourly rate).

We are offering $10k relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements
  • Two (2) years of general RN care experience
  • Associate degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent
  • Valid compact state or Arizona RN license
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider
  • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support if floating to the Emergency Department or taking care of patients less than 8 years of age
  • Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing the EKG test or completing basic EKG class/modules within six (6) months of position
Preferred
  • Two (2) years of medical/surgical, progressive care or critical care experience
  • Bachelor's degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent
